         HOLLYWOOD, FL– Venessa “Dr. V” Walker was appointed to the Broward Regional Health Planning Council (BRHPC) Board of Directors by Broward County Commissioner Barbara Sharief. Her term on the Council runs from January 27, 2021 through January 27, 2023.

    Dr. Venessa “Dr. V” Walker is a Chiropractic Physician, minister and educator. Dr. V is the owner of Walker Chiropractic and Wellness Center and MyHolBody, supplement and wellness brand. She has been in the chiropractic field for over 19 years – 12 years as a Chiropractic Physician with advanced training in sports, personal injury and prenatal.

    She began her healthcare career by attending Stranahan High School’s   Medical Magnet Program.  Dr. V subsequently earned a Bachelor’s of Bio-Medical Science Degree from the University of South Florida. She then immediately enrolled in Palmer College of Chiropractic in Central Florida where she earned a Doctor of Chiropractic at the age of 25.

    Dr. V is the co-author of “Getting Well: Mind, Body and Spirit. A Guide to Healing and Healthy Living in Every Area of Your Life”. She currently travels internationally empowering individuals through her program “Transform YOUR Life” and encourages us to make our health a priority – which aids in accomplishing greatness. She is on a mission to help her patients reach their optimal health through chiropractic care and lifestyle changes.

    Dr. V is also a member of The Links – Fort Lauderdale Chapter and has received numerous accolades, both locally and nationally. She is passionately involved in her community and actively participates in the following capacities:

    • CEO/President, Owen Walker Jr. Foundation, Inc. (501c3)
    • Licensed Ordained Minister, Countyline Worship Center Church of God
    • Board of Director, Broward Regional Health Planning Council
    • President- Broward County Chiropractic Society
    • Leadership Broward Class XXXIII

    Dr. Walker continues to fulfill her calling as a chiropractic physician, entrepreneur, minister, philanthropist, mentor and coach. She is currently the owner/practicing physician at Walker Chiropractic and Wellness Center in Miramar FL.  Dr. Walker and Walker Chiropractic and Wellness Center were awarded a proclamation by the Mayor of Broward County declaring October 28th, as “Dr. Walker and Walker Chiropractic and Wellness Center Day” in Broward County, Florida.
