Whatever you declare as a storm in your life to be, after it’s over the clean up begins

But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy,  unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal,  haters of good,  treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of  godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.                                                2 Timothy 3:1-5(NASB)

“You can’t always see the forest for the trees”. In the mist of troubles it is very difficult to find a resting place. Aside from the everyday stress and strains of life, this political season is proving to be one of the ugliest on record.

Almost everything, if not everything, is dependent upon the tricks and trades of a political nature. The ‘Haves’ and the ‘Have-nots’ are in a perpetual fight like lions and hyenas over a dead wilder beast carcass, while the wealthiest circle over head like buzzards waiting for the dead.

People, common working people are succumbing to the belief that if they vote into office ideological racists that they will be “taking their country back”.

Back to what? This should be the question that is asked of all the Republicans, Tea Party members and all of the borderline and confused voters. Where in hell do they want to take this country?

Storms are raging in this country and the bellows are howling like banshees out to scare the skin off the living.

What are the reasons for such discourse? I’ll give you two: money and the false since of security based upon preconceived power.

The ill-fated notion that money can buy anything and anything that it can’t buy I don’t need, has crippled many apeople. “ For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. 1 Timothy 6:10

Preconceived power is like holding on to an ice cube in 120oF weather: one minute you got it and 15 seconds later it has passed through your hands like grease through a goose.

I’ve seen communities divided, churches split and friendships broken do to storms of the political nature.

It just so happens to be that politics incorporates all of the malicious  trickery that can be used to misinform and mislead people, causing them to lose what little patriotism they have left.

These political storms are used by little people with too big of ideals overlooking the obvious to get to the selfish desires of “dem der buzzards”.

The ingredients of the storm are available for all, but not all choose to use them to make others suffer because they think they can.

After all it’s not the ingredients that make up the storm; it’s the One who controls it.

After the storms there is always the cleanup process. When the storms of life rage like a violent, tormented, angry Mother nature that has wreaked havoc leaving lives like junk  scattered in the streets, don’t call the ghosts busters. Call on the One and only Repairman- call on God!

Right now the political storms are building up trying to gather strength. As with any storm we need to seek the proper shelter now; it’s only a prayer away.

Behold the One who created it all, there is nothing to great or too small. There is  nothing to fear far or near. We only need to bend our knees for him to hear.

Storms are another handy work of God.
