“Angry white males who nurture and harvest racism and bigotry shall reap what they sow!” John Johnson the II, 05/23/24.
By John Johnson II
America’s beginning, conceived in iniquity, established a proposition that all white men are born of equality; thus, evolved an ideology of white supremacy. Now, almost 300 years later, white males are standing on a social, economic, and political battlefield seething with anger.
According to Michael Kimmel (2013), “When America’s white men feel they’ve lived their lives the ‘right way, worked hard and stayed out of trouble and still do not get economic rewards, then they must blame somebody else.” Consequently, angry white males’ have resorted to violence, sometimes deadly.
There’s one thing about the luxury of recorded history. It doesn’t lie unless its authors deliberately chose to do so. Thus, it’s well documented that white males at birth inherited white privileges, entitlements, and an air of white superiority.
Every effort by the government to push this nation towards a more perfect and inclusive Union has met resistance. White privileged males resisted Civil Rights legislation and the Voter’s rights Act of 1965.
Despite receiving affirmative blessings at birth with their inalienable rights, they weren’t satisfied. Angry white males and women waged heated political battles to dismantled affirmative action programs for Black people.
They’ve viewed women rights as an unwelcomed challenge to their masculinity. Consequently, SCOTUS conservative white male justices overturned Roe v. Wade. Fortunately, white angry Republicans haven’t attempted to legislate the 15th and 16th century chastity belts for women.
However, they’re attacking the Diversity Equity and Inclusion program alleging it’s an attempt to exclude white males. Never once has there been any admission that it’s time to end the good old white man’s exclusion club. The racial changing demographic at work is facing subtle and overt white males’ anger. Yet they cry foul treatment more often than fans at a Yankee baseball game.
Angry white males longing for the good old days of entitlements, union paying jobs, cheap goods, and low-cost housing has become nightmares. This despair has heightened their level of anger to toxic and violent levels. They fret and fester with anger, like a slow healing sore, about jobs shipped aboard or jobs no longer relevant.
Obama’s two term presidency added gasoline to their anger. And Kamala Harris, America’s first Black female reigning VP really threatened their white male masculinity image. Hell, they can’t even look down on Black women anymore! To their own dismay, they’d rather vent their anger against Black people, immigrants, and the LGBTQ community.
Regrettably, they’ve always needed to look down on Black people and other people of color. Is this not a psychotic way to attempt to validate their narcissistic superiority complex? If they would only cast aside their anger and unite to heal America’s racial divide, a brighter future remains a possibility.
Former president L.B. Johnson (LBJ) revealed in a quote the secret of how Republicans and white billionaires have manipulated and taken advantaged of uneducated angry white males. LBJ said, “If you can convince the lowest white man he’s better than the best colored man, he won’t notice you’re picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he’ll empty his pockets for you.”
Trump produced his own racists laden slogan, “MAGA,” for white people. He’s stoked racism and hatred with epitaphs that Black people, immigrants, and the LGBTQ community are poisoning the blood of white America. Once his incendiary remarks, lit the MAGA supporters’ racists fuse, they too looked down on democratic voters.
Trump acting as a thief in the night literally picked the pockets of uneducated angry white men. During rallies, he peddled lies and bigotry. On TV, he sold them digital trading cards (Mugshots), sneakers, and Bibles to satisfy his greed for money.
Nevertheless, Trump’s third attempted presidential voyage, loaded with angry white males, will be reminiscent of the perilous fate of the Titanic. Rather than confronted with icebergs, Trump instead, will face an avalanche of angry, determined, and educated voters.
