“Believers in the white supremacy ideology subscribe to a racial construct grounded in bigotry, racism, prejudice, and an egalitarian concept. However, all idiots are not white supremacists.” John Johnson II 05/28/25
By John Johnson II
America’s Founding Fathers, to the discredit of humanity, established Democracy, based on a white supremacy ideology, as its form of government and enshrined their laws in a racist document hailed as the U.S. Constitution. Their white supremacy ideology perpetuated the belief, grounded in idiocy, that white people were inherently superior to people of other racial backgrounds. They should, therefore, dominate them politically, economically, and socially.
A review of psychological literature suggests that depicting white supremacy ideology as an idiocy is complex. Nevertheless, research also indicates that there is a correlation between lower intelligence and higher levels of prejudice, racism, and the ability to think critically. Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary defines “idiocy” as extreme foolishness or stupidity.
Further, Wikipedia reports that the white supremacy ideology “is not based on fact, but rather on racist beliefs and interpretation of history. During the 19th and 20th centuries, scientific racism validated pseudoscientific theories of white racial superiority based on biological traits. In other words, it purported that Black people were inferior because their brains were smaller than white people’s brains.
Amazingly, since the 20th century, the term idiocy has faced rejection because it is perceived offensive. Despite its offensiveness, the white supremacy ideology has not received such a classification. But, if you will notice, they no longer use anatomical body parts to measure white people’s superiority.
Since the intended purpose of this article is not to offend or insult anyone, but rather to enlighten or “WOKE” white supremacists, I have decided at this point to use terms considered slightly less offensive, such as stupidity, foolishness, and absurdity. Consequently, it is necessary to evaluate the appropriateness of their use.
The recent January 6, 2020, insurrection at the Capitol Building driven by the belief that the 2020 Presidential election was stolen is a manifestation of blind patriotism or sheer stupidity. Given that millions of White people’s belief that they are superior to other races is not a sign or a form of psychosis; it remains a racist assertion and not a fact. Consequently, even a lie or misinformation believed by millions of whites or any race of people does not make it accurate and nor a fact. Thus, regardless of the number of individuals from any racial background who believe in falsehood or misinformation, it does not become true nor an established fact.
Again, the white supremacy ideology is a complex construct impacted by social, economic, and political factors to justify discriminating against racial minorities. Rather than characterizing it as an ideology of idiocy, one can tend to agree or disagree that those who fall prey to this extreme belief exhibit low intelligence or an inability to apply critical thinking.
