Who is wrong with the American Government?

 Part II

Last week we introduced you to the man who is behind Americans for Tax Reform, and the pledge that he created which has brought America as we know her down to her knees.

As it stands, the 236 Republican members of the United States House of Representatives who have signed Grover Norquist’s Taxpayer Protection Pledge, are standing firmly by the verbiage that they signed, and meanwhile the Dow and the NASDAQ continue to tank, the unemployment rates continue to skyrocket, programs for children, the poor and the elderly continue to be cut, and we are all witnessing the fall of economies all over the world.

It is important to recognize that Norquist has one goal in mind, and that is to KILL government. Norquist is very open about his hatred of government, as he has been quoted as saying, “I don’t want to abolish government. I simply want to reduce it to the size where I can drag it into the bathroom and drown it in the bathtub.”

Not only did Norquist co-author the 1994 Contract With America alongside Newt Gingrich, he is credited for securing early key support for George W. Bush during the time that he was Governor of the state of Texas. And in regards to President Obama’s proposal to repeal the Bush Tax Cuts to help pull this country out of this fiscal apocalypse that we are currently in. Well there is a reason why the Republicans have dug themselves in with all fours. Grover Norquist, the holder of the 236 pieces of paper that is holding the economy of the United States and economies all over the world hostage, was a key figure responsible for crafting the Bush Tax Cuts.

Grover Norquist will never stand for, or tolerate the tearing down or the abolishment of his creation, and those Republicans who signed the Taxpayer’s Pledge will never turn their backs on, or use rational thinking or even common sense to promote or support anything which could possibly be seen as opposition to Norquist, who is also known as the Grand Central Station of Conservatism.

It would be political suicide for anyone who has signed Norquist’s pledge to challenge either the man, his principals, his ideas, or his methods, for if they do there will be HELL to pay, and they will most certainly find themselves buried in the political graveyard that Norquist has populated over the years. Norquist is known for punishing those who break his pledge by organizing against them, and fundraising for their political adversaries in Republican primaries. For those defectors who are not facing a political challenge for re-election, Norquist uses hectoring as his weapon of choice.

The hold that Norquist has on the American political system is vast and at this par-ticular time in this country’s history dangerous, but when compared to the impact that Norquist has had in other parts of the world, perhaps we should all sigh a huge breath of relief and consider ourselves lucky; or maybe not.

During the latter half of the 1980’s, in his efforts to support anti-Soviet Guerrilla armies, Norquist traveled to multiple war zones across the world. Additionally, while promoting U.S. support for groups like Mozambique’s RENAMO and Jonas Savimbi’s UNITA in Angola, Norquist was also working with a support Network for disgraced Col. Oliver North’s not so legal endeavors with the Nicaraguan Contras, as well as other insurgencies. Norquist also helped to organize anti-Soviet forces in Laos.

Norquist’s involvement in other governments all over the world has been impacting the global community for decades, but his most recent endeavors, in this new millennium should send chills down the spine of every living American, and call in to question the true loyalties of Grover Norquist. Be sure to follow us next week as we take a closer look at Norquist’s connection to the worst attack on American soil, 911.
