Broward County Democratic Black Caucus it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved President, Janet Burnet. We have lost a great friend, sister, mentor, community leader and Democrats. Janet was a champion of Democratic values. Her steadfast faith in democracy has been left behind with us to guard. Her community activism is unmatched, and I pray that we persevere in this state in her absence, a difficult task though it will be.
She has expressed her love in action through her leadership, mentoring and concern for our community. Janet, we will miss you dearly and we will continue to carry out the values you held so dear.
