George Zimmerman’s Wife Pleads Guilty to Perjury

download (4)By Your Black World      The wife of George Zimmerman, the self appointed night watchman who fatally s**t unarmed teen Trayvon Martin, pleaded guilty  to a misdemeanor perjury charge on Wednesday. Charges were brought against Shellie Zimmerman after she lied to a Florida court about her family’s income during a bail hearing.

As part of the plea deal, Shellie Zimmerman avoids a felony perjury charge and is sentenced to serve 100 hours of community service.

Prosecutors allege that Shellie Zimmerman did not disclose $135, 000 in donations that her husband had received through his PayPal account. She did not acknowledge the funds during the bail hearing but was clearly heard discussing the funds during a jailhouse conversation with her husband.

During a conversation recorded at the Seminole jail prior to the bond hearing, Shellie Zimmerman is heard discussing the donations with her husband, but later led the court to believe that she and her husband were destitute.

Prosecutors accused the two of talking in code during the jailhouse call, during which they discussed how the donated funds should be used. George Zimmerman instructed his wife to move money to different accounts.

Records show that after the jailhouse call, Shellie Zimmerman moved $74,000 from her husband’s credit union account to hers. She also transferred $47,000 from her husband’s account to his sister’s account.

After George Zimmerman was released on bond, Shellie Zimmerman transferred $85,000 back to her husband’s account. After the recordings were brought to light, George Zimmerman’s bond was revoked.

Shellie Zimmerman is a nursing student and pleading guilty to a felony perjury charge would’ve prevented her from applying to be a nurse for three years
