GRAND MARSHALL
Zarline Scott was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she also grew up. She attended Bethune Cookman College which is now Bethune Cookman University.
She was initiated at Gamma Tau chapter in 1956. Zarline holds a Bachelor’s in Speech and Drama and a master’s in education. She spent 45 years in education and administration, before retiring in 1994 for the first time and in 2004 the second time. She is a widow and has three children.
Zarline joined the greatest Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Zeta Rho Omega in 1958. She has served on the Membership, Social, and Protocol committees.
She believes the best thing about being a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha is Sisterhood, love, interacting with the Sorors and providing service.

Eveline Wilcox was born in Lumber City, Ga. She moved to Fort Lauderdale in 1952.
She graduated from Dillard High School, and began her career working at Providence Hospital, while simultaneously studying to become a bookkeeper.
Upon completion of her bookkeeping degree, she acquired employment at Mizell Funeral Home. Eveline’s initial job was secretary, but eventually moved on to bookkeeper, before finally becoming a stockholder. She has worked at the Mizell and Kurtz Funeral Home for over 50 years. Eveline has provided support for our community and provided care for families in need.
She has been a part of several civic organizations. Eveline was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, serving as treasurer for many years. She is also a member of the Eastern Stars.
Eveline serves God as a devout catholic and is a member of St. George Catholic Church.
The biggest joy of her life has been making memories with her son Richard A Kurtz, three granddaughters, and five grandchildren.
