Creators and creations are inspired. Everything begins with a thought and thoughts themselves are shared with the whole. We may think that we have a completely unique idea, but the truth is that it is connected to something else. Everything has a source and doesn’t appear from nothing. Everything we see and experience is a manifestation of our collective mental energies. We do not tend to think of it this way, but the Universe responds to our thoughts, actions, words, and interactions. Whatever we desire strong enough builds up the necessary required energy to become a manifestation in the physical realm. This means that all of our thoughts are working together simultaneously across the globe to create what we see everyday! Our minds power the world!

On Sunday, March 27, Mt Hermon AME Church Fort Lauderdale celebrated the Investiture Service welcoming Rev. Henry E. Green, III as its 33rd pastor. The remarkably historic event was noteworthy for several reasons: Pastor Trae, as he is affectionately known, is replacing his father, the Rev. Henry E. Green, Jr., Presiding Elder of the Celebrated Central District, who pastored Mt. Hermon the previous 8 years; it’s the first appointment where the son becomes his father’s immediate successor; and the manifestation of love and community support characterizing the well-attended affair.

As a Black woman and longtime physician, I am well aware personally and professionally of disparities in health care. To reduce inequalities and bridge the gap, I recently participated in a virtual forum hosted by The Broward County Library titled, “Break the Bias: Black Women’s Healthcare in Crisis” alongside other female physicians of color. Our goal was to shine a light on implicit biases and make lasting change, especially when it comes to those Black women who are pregnant or those young mothers who face daily challenges.

On March 16, in a small auditorium at the Old Executive Office Building next door to The White House, Vice President Kamala Harris, Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona and Attorney General Merrick Garland spoke on the plan. The allocations, coming from existing money from the Department of Education budget, comes to about $150,000 per school.
