The National Black College Hall of Fame Foundation Selects Ada Brown Belton of Benedict College as the 2023 Alumni Director of the Year

The National Black College Hall of Fame Foundation recently announced that Ada Brown Belton has been selected as the 2023 Alumni Director of the Year. Belton is a successful fundraising professional and proud Cum Laude graduate of Benedict College. She currently serves as the Assistant Vice President for Alumni Relations and Advancement Services. She is also the Executive Secretary of the Benedict College National Alumni Association which awarded her its highest honor in 2017, The Lula J. Gambrell Award. […]

Dr. Du Bois wrote a seminal essay for Black assimilation called “The Talented Tenth.” It’s one of seven essays included in  the 1903, “The Negro Problem: A Series of Articles by Representative American Negroes of To-Day.” Booker T. Washington edited the book and contributed the first essay.  Paul Laurence Dunbar, Charles W. Chesnutt, Wilford H. Smith, H. T. Kealing, and T.
