With the release of her debut daily devotional book for teenaged girls, Words for Your Walk, teen author Layla Davidson captures the #1 spot for new releases on Amazon. Not to mention, within 24 hours, she also became a best-selling author, making her one of the youngest best-selling authors in multiple categories!

As the daughter of South Florida power couple and New Mount Olive Baptist Church First Family, Pastor Marcus Davidson and Yvokia Davidson, Layla has begun to make a name for herself with her exceptional work. In just two years, she has dedicated her time and influence to perfecting her writing skills and contributing opinion pieces weekly to the Westside Gazette Newspaper as a student intern. Today, it can be hard to fathom a teenager prioritizing writing a book with so many negative influences as well as the allure of social media. Still, Layla found the time to write “Words for Your Walk” to help teen girls like herself deal with life’s challenges during such uncertain times. Layla’s work with the historic Westside Gazette Newspaper has helped to garner the attention of many – most notably, the Positivity Pays Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to highlighting and exposing the accomplishments of Black artists, authors, and entrepreneurs. “Words for Your Walk” is the first book published by the Positivity Pays Foundation, and thanks to Layla, this colossal achievement will help set a path for success for other aspiring youth authors.

President of Positivity Pays Foundation Ramon “Absoloot” Robinson shares, “Once I read Words for Your Walk, I knew it was a book we had to publish. I have watched Layla grow as a writer through the years, but I did not expect such an outstanding piece of work. Layla is genius in the way she can relate to others, uplifting readers of any age.”

“Words for Your Walk” relates the Word of God to a wide range of topics including toxic relationships, body image, and anxiety in a way that is easy to understand and apply. This daily devotional is a teenage girl’s guide to tackling challenges with the wisdom and comfort of the Bible. Navigating the pressures of creating a perfect persona for acceptance or the desire to maintain unhealthy competition in this social media era can feel overwhelming at times. These quick and easy-to-read devotionals will assist with these obstacles in a quest to become the best version of yourself – a version that would absolutely be pleasing and acceptable in sight of God.

Within these teen devotionals for girls, you will discover devotionals that allow scripture to practically enter your day, at any moment, with bite-sized encouragement; scripture relating to the lives of young teen girls, helping them to unpack tough topics and situations from everyday life; tools connecting teenagers with the Word of God to overcome the challenges of our modern society such as bullying, low self-esteem and peer pressure. Although our world is constantly changing, we know the truth – the Way and the Light is steadfast. This book provides direction and an unshakable foundation to live a productive, happy God-fearing life.

“Words for Your Walk” is currently only available on Amazon.com. Thanks for your support!
