Cori (Coco) Gauff, an African American tennis player, was going to play in the Tokyo Olympics until she got Covid-19. Unfortunately, she will not be able to partake in the upcoming Olympics. However, she tweeted out a statement saying, “It has always been a dream of mine to represent the USA at the Olympics, and I hope there will be many more chances for me to make this come true in the future. I want to wish TEAM USA best of luck and  safe games for every Olympian and the entire Olympic family.” With this being a great defeat for her, Team USA has to find another person to replace her. The whole team is under quarantine until it is safe for them to train. Coronavirus is still making a mark on America. The Delta Variant is making it easier for one to get Covid-19, which makes it even more evident for Americans to get the vaccine. Moving forward from coronavirus will not be easy if we continue to procrastinate on getting the vaccine. You can go to vaccines.gov to find a Covid-19 vaccine location near you.
