Rapper Fat Joe going to prison for four months

    By YourBlackWorld

The rapper Fat Joe is going to have his music career significantly derailed after he was sentenced to four months in federal prison for tax evasion. The rapper was accused and convicted of evading taxes on $3.7 million in personal income, which is enough to get you sent to the slammer.

Fat Joe (aka Joseph Cartagena) took responsibility for what happened, but also blamed the Harvard-educated people he hired to manage his money for his downfall.

He says that his money men mishandled his finances and that everything ended up falling on top of him.

He is not only going to prison for four years, but will also be hit with a fine of $150,000 and a year of supervised release after his term is over.

Joe owed the government $718,038 in taxes from 2007 through 2010. He promises that he will repay the entire amount to the government once his term is over.
