FORT LAUDERDALE, FL –The 17th Judicial Circuit is pleased to announce that Trial Court Administrator Joseph D’Amico has been named co-editor of Court Manager, a national publication that focuses on ethics and the courts, technology and the judiciary and court management issues.

The National Association for Court Management (NACM) announced the news on Dec. 30th. NACM, the publisher of Court Manager magazine, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of judicial administration at all levels of the court.

“I am very excited for the opportunity to contribute to NACM and look forward to collaborating with the many professionals who support the important work of the judicial branch,” said D’Amico, who was an editor on the Law Review while attending law school at Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, Central Islip, NY.

D’Amico has served as Trial Court Administrator for Florida’s second largest jurisdiction since he was appointed by Chief Judge Jack Tuter in 2022. The 17th Judicial Circuit operates four courthouses and serves a population of nearly two million residents.

D’Amico and Tuter together direct, oversee and implement court programs and operations and set goals and priorities for the Circuit.

“Joe is a hard-working and dedicated trial court administrator,” Tuter said. “He will serve Court Manager well and provide professional insight to the publication. We are happy to have Joe serve our Circuit and wish him well in this deserved appointment.”

Jessica Humphreys, the Superior Court Director in Yakima County, Washington State Court, was named as co-editor.
