100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale mentees pose in front of the home of FGCU’s “Dunk City” gymnasium — Mentees from the 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale proudly represent the Leadership Academy during a recent college tour visit to Florida Gulf Coast University in Ft. Myers, Fla. “Part of our education mission is to expose our young men to opportunities that exist beyond their everyday experiences. College tours provide these young men with an opportunity to experience education at the next level. Many are impressed by the diversity, amenities and the freedoms that college life presents.
