Support Dillard High School Homecoming Parade and tailgate celebration

    By Staff Writer

Dillard High School’s Student Government Association (SGA) needs the community’s support and participation in their 2012 Homecoming Parade and Tailgate. The parade will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 at 9 a.m. and will culminate in a tailgate celebration at Dillard High. The parade will begin on Ninth Avenue and Sistrunk Boulevard., and will end in the Dillard High 27th Avenue parking lot. The tailgate celebration will begin immediately after the parade.

Let’s help make this a wonderful experience for Dillard students, alumni, and community. Everyone is invited to participate in the weekend’s activities, starting with the parade, enjoying the tailgate, and then cheering the Panthers on to victory against American Heritage High School. Dillard’s principal, Cassandra Robinson, is very grateful for the community’s continued support of Dillard High School and is looking forward to the community’s participation. All proceeds will help offset the costs for sponsored SGA events and activities throughout the school year.

Be a part of the parade by entering floats, cars, and groups/organizations. Parade registration fees: Floats: $70; cars: $50; walking (groups) youth $25; adults $30. Make checks payable to: Dillard High School Homecoming Committee 2012.

If you are unable to attend this event, you can still participate in this year’s Homecoming activities by making a donation to the Dillard High School SGA by Oct. 12. No refunds will be given. Contact Jimmy Witherspoon at (754) 246-5412 with any questions or if there is bad weather on the day of the parade.
