    Mimai-DolphinDolphins on a roll

    By Byler Henry

The Miami Dolphins have been on a roll winning three games in a row. They pulled out an impressive win against the Falcons coming back from a 17-0 deficit at halftime. This week they entered a rivalry game against the Jets and came out with a 31-28 win and a 4-2 record.

Jay Cutler had a good game going 12 of 16 passing for 138 yards two touchdowns and one interception, before he went down with an injury. Matt Moore came in and kept the offense afloat while completing his fifth fourth quarter comeback of his career. He passed for 188 yards going 13 of 21 with two touchdowns and an interception. The two main wide receivers Kenny Stills and Jarvis Landry contributed to their offense combining with three touchdowns. Landry was targeted 7 times and he gathered 93 yards while Stills was targeted 6 times gaining 85 yards. Jay Cutler has been ruled out against the Ravens with cracked ribs; however the offense won’t miss a beat with Matt Moore under center. It’s always good to know that there is a reliable veteran backup who can step in and contribute when called upon.

Before the season started, I pick the Dolphins to make the playoffs grabbing a wild card spot, and I’m still feeling good about that pick. Looking at the rest of the schedule, the Dolphins have the Ravens for a Thursday night road game, the Raiders (home), Panthers (road), Buccaneers (home), Patriots (road), Broncos (home), Patriots (home), Bills (road), Chiefs (road), and Bills (home). I can see them going 6-4 to finish out the season and grab an 11-5 record. They already have a better start over these six games than last season. Last year they started off 3-4 but found their stride late in the season finishing 7-2 and grabbing a wild card playoff spot. If they continue to pull out wins they can surely be back in the playoff mix. They are currently tied with the Bills in the AFC East. With their remaining schedule getting an 11-5 record is certainly possible.
