Growing the Voices of Our Future
The Westside Gazette Newspaper is honored to feature these editorial contributions made by local students.
These past two months have been very empowering and rewarding, presenting me with great opportunities.
For starters, I began my first college class at Broward College. Out of the 25 students, I am the only high schooler in this intro to speech communications class, and so far I am loving it.
Also, my cheerleading team and I went to the state competition in Gainesville Florida. We won state runner-up; we were so overwhelmed with excitement. For an unexpected treat, our coach took the team to Busch Gardens the next day.
I was also accepted into the National Honor Society at my school. Presently, my GPA is 4.0 ; I am so grateful but I also feel like I can do so much better.
The amount of opportunities that God has presented me with is so unbelievable, and I love my parents for being there for me and supporting me on my journey and my road to success.
