IMPACT GIRLS at Dillard Elementary support the mission of Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation

Humanitarianism through the Eyes of Children ‘Children Giving to Children-Pay It Forward Campaign’

    Submitted by Angela Dix

Impact Girls, with the approval of Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation has spearheaded a ‘Pay It Forward Campaign’ to raise funds for the hospital’s foundation.

Impact Girls, an after school girls’ club at Dillard Elementary offers several early-intervention and innovative programs to 38 girls ages 6-8. One of them is Humanitarianism Through the Eyes of Children-ensuring that children in need get the help they need, when they need it the most. ‘Children Giving to Children’ is a unique way these young first and second graders will be reaching out to kids just like themselves, through the wonderful act of humanitarianism.

In a society where bullying and insensitivity has become one of the detrimental poisons throughout this nation among our youth, these girls have decided to bring the antithesis of insensitivity to a remarkable institution such as Joe DiMaggio Hospital, where Impact Girls want to help ensure that kids can get the medical attention they need regardless if their parents cannot afford it.

Through coin collection cans, Dillard Elementary WDDD TV station’s early morning announcements, student gene-rated letters, press releases, and by word of mouth, Impact Girls looks forward to raising $500 dollars for the cause.

These girls will help make a difference at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital and at the same time stir the hearts of young humanitarians just like themselves. Why? Because their vibrant energy to make impact at such an early age will ignite the passion of others to do the same.

If you would like to show your support, you may contact Dillard Elementary IMPACT GIRLS at (754) 322-6200 or Impact Girls at (954) 505-1715 to find out how you can help the girls meet their goal, or email at contact@impactgirls.org if you wish to write to us.

All donations should be made out to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation.
