Attorney Rawsi Williams, Esq., R.N.,, founder of Rawsi Williams Law Group, is the recipient of the 2021 Community Advocate Woman of the Year Award. Shown here are the presenters President Ms. Jo Ann Jones and member Ms. Leola Adams of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc., Professional and Business Women Gamma Alpha Chapter, presenting the award to Ms. Williams at her office due to COVID-19 gathering guidelines.  The award reads: “May your unselfish, relentless and determined spirit to represent clients such as #IStandWithLJV and #JusticeForRiou continue to be examples that change injustices in our society and make our world a better place to live.” Attorney Williams is not a member of the organization and was therefore even more humbled to be chosen for this prestigious honor.  Her response is   “The recognition of one’s hard work by others is one of the highest honors any person can receive.  This fight against racial discrimination is not easy nor endless, and the perils of this type of work do not always endear friends to you.  Nonetheless, I stand in my God-given call in serving this fight. My clients are worth it.  Their Justice demands it.  I must keep going and not grow weary knowing my reward is nigh. There are also so many of you from different races and backgrounds who helped these causes in so many ways.  This award is for you as well.  Thank you with all my heart.”
