America is Moving Again But the Road is Long

     I am looking forward to working with President Biden to confirm to the Supreme Court a phenomenal Black woman who will champion the values of freedom, justice, opportunity, and equality at a time when they urgently need champions. 

     In 1968 the Boys Club of Broward opened a second club in the heart of the Sistrunk (aka Six Street) Corridor.  The first in a Black neighborhood, the Northwest Boys Club was established on land acquired from the Catholic Diocese of Miami in the former church for local Black Catholics.

  As a race, highly melanated people of the diaspora are presently the top consumer. Businesses benefit from marketing to people of African descent. Other races greatly benefit from our transactions. This includes those that we choose to receive services from for the most part and the products we purchase. Other races have studied us, our behaviors, our desires, and our spending patterns to create their marketing strategies. Their efforts have gained them success.

     “My father was a man of humble beginnings who work-ed hard to provide for eight children,” stated Adumentey, adding that it was his un-conditional love, wisdom, and work ethic that inspired the core of her principles and life mottos. He also inspired her to appreciate the various skin tones found in Africans throughout the world.

The Environmental Justice Climate Webinar, “Think Global, Act Local” convened by the Florida State Conference of the NAACP in collaboration with Florida A&M University and the Space Coast  Florida National Technical Association May 15, 2021 erased my doubt that Black people in Florida are sufficiently aware of the coming dangers and prepared to address them. While many communities may not yet know how the changing climate will affect them, it’s a huge relief to see the most pivotal organization in the Black American struggle for human rights making it a high priority.

     Failing the court vacating the conviction, Cosby and his lawyers still want a new trial. They argued that trial Judge Steven O’Neill erred when he allowed at least five hearsay witnesses to testify against him about decades-old encounters. While prosecutors claim Cosby received a fair trial, the actor’s team also complained that a previous agreement with the District Attorney’s office should have been honored.
