IT COULDN’T BE CLEARER

During the Obama administration the threat from right-wing extremism was documented by the Department of Homeland Security, only to have said findings suppressed when Republican members of Congress suggested that this revelation was only serving the political objectives of Democrats. The facts, however, were never in dispute, as documented by non-governmental organizations such as the Southern Poverty Law Center.

  Walker’s legacy of activism and storytelling was on full display at the event, which was held at the Georgia Writers Museum and included a day of activities and events to honor Walker’s life and achievements.

Lawton Elementary School principal Shannon Blick has filed a $5 million lawsuit accusing the Ann Arbor Public Schools of discrimination, naming its school board and at least six administrators as defendants.

     According to Dr. Rosa Castro Feinberg, who serves on the committee for LULAC Florida, an advocacy group serving all Hispanic nationality groups, Florida’s “current plan includes features that contradict common sense, expert opinion, popular will, and the intent of the ESSA. Contrary to the purposes of the ESSA, the Florida plan denies attention to struggling subgroups of students. Without attention, there can be no correction.”

Pauline Grant, a longtime executive who was as it appears to have been wrongly terminated, will find out if she will receive payment of more than $900,000. Grant was exiled by the district’s general counsel of whom she had conflict with even before the kickbacks investigation.
