   NNPA NEWSWIRE — Video of the twice impeached and 34 times convicted felon, who is the Republican Party’s presumptive nominee, showed him grabbing the side of his face and later bleeding as Secret Service agents tackled him.

      This past June, I was able to attend an event unlike any that I had ever been to before…a spoken-word event! Held at the Victory Black Box Theater located in the L.A. Lee YMCA/Mizell Community Center, Katrina Jo Sapp-Holder, also known as “Poettis,” held a spectacular show entitled “A Sistrunk Tale’’ with amazing guest performances by Ja’Nia Harden and Allen C. Paul, and a beautifully composed soundtrack by Poettis’ musically gifted daughter, Jae Kerenza Holder. When I thought to myself how I should write about this outstanding event, it only felt right to go along with the theme of spoken word and write a poem of the experience.

    The City of Lauderdale Lakes celebrated a major milestone on Saturday  with the grand unveiling of a brand-new Splash Pad at Vincent Torres Memorial Park.    On Sunday, July 14, 2024, Thomas Matthew Crooks attempted to assassinate former President Donald J. Trump, who’s also a candidate for the 2024 presidential election. Trump survived the assassin’s bullet but suffered a gunshot to his upper right ear. Following the death of the assassin, Federal and Local Authorities now must determine if the lone assassin was mentally ill,  politically motivated,  a domestic terrorist, or a patsy.
