     Born in 1800 in Torrington, Connecticut, John Brown was raised in a family deeply rooted in religious conviction. His upbringing instilled in him a fervent belief that slavery was not only a moral abomination but also a manifestation of the devil’s influence on humanity. This belief fueled his lifelong mission to break the chains that bound his fellow human beings.

   Revelation in the Bible talks about mankind’s apocalyptic fate for their transgressions and the faltering ways of churches. Now our Nation’s democracy faces its own Revelation of a perilous fate. Such a fate, results when voters knowingly elect an unfit and criminal minded president.

     Being a “spook” is dangerous and hazardous. If you consider teaching Black people how to fight mentally, physically, or otherwise, you won’t have to worry about the CIA, FBI, KGB, FSB, DEA, MI-6, Mossad, Scotland Yard, or other intelligence agencies coming to America’s Black communities to get you or to suppress your efforts.

This Thanksgiving season, the Sigma Rho chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. has exemplified the spirit of giving by generously donating nearly 100 suits to Jackets for Jobs, a nonprofit organization committed to empowering individuals through professional attire and career development. The fraternity’s timely contribution aligns with Jackets for Jobs’ mission to distribute suits, turkeys, and ties to men in need during the holiday season, truly embodying the essence of being a blessing to Detroit men.
