     Col. Carl Croston Johnson, one of the last known living members of the famed Tuskegee Airmen, died last week at age 97 in Reston, Virginia. Col. Johnson was born in 1926 and was discharged from active duty in the US Army Air Force in 1947. The Tuskegee Airmen was a group of African American military pilots who served in World War II.

Entering his third year as the Tigers head coach, Michael Bailey expressed complete satisfaction with his team’s summer conditioning and weightlifting program, stating that everything went according to plan, and that he has approximately 130 players on  the current roster including junior varsity and varsity.

The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT), partnering with Florida A&M University (FAMU), will host the second Air Force Historically Black Colleges & Universities/Minority Institutions (HBCU/MI) Digital Partnership Summit September 19-21, 2023, on the Tallahassee campus.

     Justices are weighing a legal challenge to a 2022 law that prevented abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy. A ruling in the lawsuit, which could take months, also will affect a law passed this year that would bar abortions after six weeks of pregnancy.
