Potentially setting the stage for a legal fight, Gov. Ron DeSantis on Tuesday signed a bill that will place additional restrictions on public-employee unions, including preventing dues from being deducted from workers’ paychecks.

     It’s a monumental step in a fight I’ve been part of for more than a decade, since we launched the NAACP’s climate justice program and reported on the disproportionate harm to Black communities from coal-fired power plants.

     Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) play an essential role in the education of Black students in America. HBCUs open the path to higher education for Black students who did not have an opportunity, because Blacks were barred from a higher education.

      In the TV version of what went on in Dodge City, gunslingers, and lawbreakers were told to “get out of Dodge”.
