       This animated action film is the brainchild of Lamard Cher-Aime, chief executive officer, Cutting Edge Animation.  Mr. Cher-Aime also suffers from major depressive disorder and he is a suicide survivor.  Mr. Cher-Aime uses this animated film to destigmatize mental illness, encourage individuals to seek treatment and raise awareness about the greater need for services in the Black community.

     The organization’s new initiative, led by Runcie, is a “School Safety Cohort.” Six school districts pay $166,667 each to a company, formed last year by two Broward school administrators, to review safety plans and track for compliance, records show. The school districts are being reimbursed by Chiefs for Change, which is funded by private donors.

      Fort Lauderdale City Hall, built in 1966, is well past its prime, city officials say. But on Tuesday, commissioners said they’re no longer interested in a joint government complex with Broward County. Instead, Fort Lauderdale will build a new City Hall on its own.
