    BLACK-LIVES-MATTER-FLYERBlack Lives Matter South Florida, In Partnership with Manna CDC, will host the ā€œFlorida March For Justiceā€ Inaugural protest March on January 17, 2015. Organizers call on State of Florida Leaders to take immediate action to reduce police brutality and racial disparities.

    Ā Ā  Ā  Ā FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — Ā (January 14, 2015) With the failure of a grand jury to indict Officer Daniel Pantaleo in the killing of Eric Garner in New York City, and the failure of a jury to convict George Zimmerman after he stalked and killed innocent and unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin, in Florida, BLACK LIVES MATTER SOUTH FLORIDA is calling for a meeting with Governor Rick Scott, State Law Enforcement Agencies and City and State Leaders, to present a list of demands that the state must take to circumvent an escalation in protests, including mass civil disobedience at targeted city and state properties.

    Ā Ā Ā Ā  Black Lives Matter South Florida, will hold a Press Conference on the steps of Fort Lauderdale City Hall to voice our demands on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015 at 1 p.m. On Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 1 p.m., Black Lives Matter South Florida will hold the ā€œFlorida March For Justiceā€ beginning at the corner of Oakland Park Boulevard and 21st Street, Fort Lauderdale, Fla. We will March South to Oswald Park where we will hold a Press Conference with the Community Leaders and Protesters.

    Black Lives Matter South Florida, has been circulating a petition online with the full list of demands and is calling on the Governor of Florida, State and Local Police Departments and other City and State leaders to meet and discuss steps towards redress and accountability.
