Broward County Board of Commissioners proclaims February 9th as “Westside Gazette Day”

Broward County Commissioner Dale V.C. Holness presents Publisher Bobby R. Henry, Sr. with a framed proclamation in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Westside Gazette Newspaper.

Excerpts: “Whereas, Westside Gazette believes that the most potent tool with which to face challenges and opportunities of this new century is the dissemination of information and it is their responsibility to inform educate, and reinvest in the community…”

Holness originally announced the proclamation during a county commission meeting on February 9, 2021.
