FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Broward County residents looking to achieve homeownership may now have access to significant financial assistance through the County’s Home Purchase Assistance Program.
The initiative, championed by Broward County Commissioner Alexandra P. Davis, offers eligible first-time and prospective homebuyers up to $100,000 to help cover home purchase costs, including down payments and other qualifying expenses.
The program is designed to expand homeownership opportunities for residents who may face financial barriers when purchasing a home.
To qualify, applicants must:
- Purchase a home located in Broward County Commission District 7.
- Have a household income at or below 120% of the Area Median Income (AMI).
- Complete an approved homebuyer education course.
- Obtain mortgage pre-approval from a participating lender.
- Purchase a home with a maximum sale price of $679,324.
Applications will be accepted until all available funding has been reserved.
