CORAL SPRINGS, FL – As part of its commitment to providing advanced cardiac care, Broward Health Coral Springs expanded its state-of-the-art cardiac services by adding a second cardiac catheterization lab.

The hospital’s new 4,102-square-foot bi-plane cath lab can capture two sets of images simultaneously with just one injection of contrast.

ā€œWe’re thrilled to have this powerful tool at the hospital so that our patients have timely access to even more high level interventional and vascular services closer to home,ā€ said Mohamed Osman, M.D., interventional cardiologist and medical director of the interventional cardiology program at Broward Health Coral Springs.

Among the state-of-the-art procedures now available through the expanded cath lab include:

Electrophysiology mapping and imaging systems, which areĀ used to guide transcatheter cardiac ablation procedures.

Interventional neurovascular services, which involves advanced procedures to diagnosed and treat neurologically related vascular conditions.
