High school students from Saint Thomas Aquinas and Cardinal Gibbons in Fort Lauderdale recently participated in Holy Cross Hospital’s 15th annual “Day in the Life of a Nurse” sponsored by the Nursing Consortium of South Florida. The event offered participants an overview of nursing, career pathways and progression, educational opportunities, hospital tours, nurse shadowing, and a skills fair.
The Broward Health Foundation last night presented a check for more than $28,000 to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Dorian relief efforts. The donation is part of Broward Health’s continued commitment to support its neighbors in the Bahamas islands most-affected by the storm.
