 The Florida Panthers today announced the extension of their partnership with Broward Health. As part of the partnership, Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital at Broward Health will become the ‘Official Pediatric Hospital’ of the club.  

Broward Health hosted about 40 high school students as part of The Nursing Consortium of South Florida’s “Day in the Life of a Nurse” program. Students were at each of Broward Health’s four hospitals: Broward Health Coral Springs, Broward Health Imperial Point, Broward Health Medical Center and Broward Health North.

This book was written with the hope that women of all ages will embrace and change the mindset of how they see and are seen. That women will uplift each other and themselves for the honor of the menopausal phase of life that they find themselves in

     While Black women get breast cancer at a lower rate than white women, we are 42 percent more likely to die from it. And young Black women, those under 35, are twice as likely as white women to get breast cancer, and three times as likely to die from it. Black women are also three times as likely as white women to get triple-negative breast cancer, an especially aggressive form of breast cancer. 

It’s flu season again and it’s time to be flu safe. Did you know the flu can be especially dangerous for young children, the elderly and people with certain medical conditions

     Across America, the statistics are sobering for Black women. African American women are more likely to have late-stage breast cancer compared to white women. The odds get worse for Black women who are living in areas where poverty rates are high. Study after study bears out these grim statistics.

  When you consider the horrors of slavery, combined with the modernized version of a slave-like existence that Black people continue to live under today, for all intents and purposes, “Black people are essentially born traumatized and have been for centuries,” said Dr. Kenneth Nave, a Chicago-based internist. “Epigenetics means be-yond genetics, so to speak. This isn’t fringe science. This is solid, well-documented science on how environmental pathology impacts cellular mechanics at the epigenetic level.”

Broward Health has been recognized for achievements in Supply Chain Savings from Vizient. Broward Health received both the Participation Leadership and the Impact Standardization Executive Awards, which recognize health care organizations for demonstrating excellence in lowering costs in the supply chain, streamlining purchasing practices, earning additional rebates and overall lowering pricing from manufacturers.
