For quite some time, Florida has been going through nursing shortages. We have a shortage of nurses and healthcare workers in general and the shortage isn’t anything new. For quite some time, there have been declining numbers of nurses for the state, a state with a large retirement population that needs a lot of care.

On Saturday, Haiti experienced a deadly earthquake of 7.2 magnitude. It left at least 1,297 people dead and more than 2,800 injured. The destruction has also filled hospitals and blocked roads. This earthquake has caused much grief and distress and has left so many people hopeless for the future. Keep Haiti in your prayers because they will need help.
