Government workers return to paid work, but the aftermath continues

On Friday, Jan. 25, the government shutdown ended, but with threats of possibly shutting it down again on Friday, February 15, the uncertainty lingers. As it stands, furloughed workers will return to work. Essential government workers will begin to receive their earned wages, along with back pay for time served without pay.
