Families can explore their options in several ways, such as by student interest, grade level and by individual school name. The School Choice application will be available online on the School Choice website beginning Dec. 2, at 8 a.m.

Representative Dotie Joseph, Democratic candidate for State House District 108, recently announced the launching of her 2020 re-election campaign. Representative Joseph re-presents one of the most culturally and economically diverse districts in the state. House District 108 also happens to be one of bluest districts – Democrats accounting for 68% of registered voters and every top-of-the-ticket Democratic candidate since 2010 has earned over 85% of the general election vote. Representative Joseph was first elected in 2018, after defeating two opponents in the Democratic primary election and handily winning the general election with 91.7% of the vote. 

     On Friday, Nov. 15, Florida A&M University (FAMU) alumna T.B. Darks, author of “The Fluffy Adventures of Fromo: A Sticky Situation” (2019) and “Wash Day” (2018), will visit the FAMU Developmental Research School Media Center to share stories of reading, writing, and the creative process with students in grades 2-6.

     George served his country as a Special Agent in Army Intelligence for 2 years active duty and 4 years in the Army Reserve.  In 1960, he entered the University of Florida Law School and graduated in December 1962 with a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree being the first Black to earn a degree from any former white institution in Florida and the Southeast United States.
