     The week of January 20th, we mark the second anniversary of the fall of Roe v. Wade and honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, reflecting on his enduring message of justice, equality, and nonviolence. Yet, as Southern California reels from devastating wildfires, we are reminded of how interconnected these struggles are—and how justice cannot exist without addressing the multifaceted crises impacting our communities.

       Mrs. Robinson-Owens embodies both personal and professional dedication to the students and community of Broward County Public Schools. Her vision clearly goes beyond the role of Assistant Principal, rooted in a desire to make transformative changes, not only in education but in the lives of young people, their families, and the broader community.

The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Committee (MLKCC) invites the entire community to join in commemorating the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.at the annual King Holiday Parade and Multicultural Unity Festival on Monday, January 20, 2025, at Joseph C. Carter Park.
