     Over the past year, we have witnessed loyalists of the 45th President work to unravel the threads that hold the fabric of our representative democracy together. His followers, fueled by a constant diet of disinformation, have harassed and intimidated election officials across the country, causing many to resign their positions out of fear for themselves and their families.

     I was sad to learn the Biden administration plans to spend $1 billion to increase the nation’s slaughter capacity. Instead, the White House should invest these funds into open-access cultivated-meat research. For those who don’t know, cultivated meat is grown from animal cells, without slaughter. It’s better for the environment, public health and animal welfare.

     Terry Ann Williams Edden has been very very good in doing so as she let the voters know why she qualifies as the best person for the State Senate for district 33. In matters of morality, a trustworthy person doesn’t feel the need to dim the light of others to make their light shine. The way this campaign is going now, one can only imagine what it would be like if she won. We all need to look in the mirror and stop walking around in the devil’s shoes.

   Republicans recognizing that the white supremacist ideology used to controlled Democracy, just as a bit controls a horse, could no longer control the overwhelming power of Black and Brown voters. Consequently, Republicans in fear of not ever being able to win a presidential election have resorted to  tactics equally as evil and unGodly as the deeds of America’s white supremacists Founding Fathers.

     They’ve brought in a number of outside advisors, including attorney and entrepreneur Yusef Jackson, who earlier this year joined the executive team of Aventiv, Securus’ parent company. Aventiv announced in April 2021 that Jackson, the son of Rainbow/PUSH founder The Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, would be helping with the lowering of the price of calls and other services for the incarcerated as Aventiv worked to change some of its business practices and respond to criticism of the industry.
