         LAUDERHILL, FL  — Join the City of Lauderhill in congratulating Vice Mayor Lawrence “Jabbow” Martin on his recent appointment to Broward County’s Community Action Agency Advisory Board (CAAAB) as a member of the Living Wage Advisory Board. This significant accomplishment is a testament to Vice Mayor’s leadership dedication and commitment to public service.

    The Broward County Community Action Agency serves as the advisory body to the Board of Broward County Commissioners acting as the Community Action Agency (CAA) in furthering the purposes of the Community Services Block Grant Program (CSBG). Often collaborating with local non-profits, the CAA does its best to meet the needs of the less fortunate. The case managers from the Family Success Centers and other locations can direct qualified clients to a host of assistance programs for both basic needs and long-term self-sufficiency dealing with housing, rent, mortgage, and utilities.

    Vice Mayor “Jabbow” Martin shares, “I am both excited and humbled to be appointed to the County’s Community Action Agency Advisory Board. I look forward to working with fellow board members to serve our community and help those in need. I am committed to bringing new ideas and collaborating with local organizations to make a positive impact on our residents’ lives.”
