CONCRETE HOWLS: A COYOTE’S STORY is the title of a wonderful display of mixed media art designed by Artis/Illustrator, general Aikens. Gabriel, a native of Lauderhill, Florida. Gabriel graduated from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) with a Bachelors of Fine Arts Degree. He is continuing his education attending Savannah College of Art Design (SCAD) with the intent of graduating with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Game Design.
Through Broward County’s Cultural Division’s Artist Support Grant Gabriel created the artwork and concept, designed and hosted the exhibit at the Lauderhill Central Park Library, August 4 through August 7, 2025, The exhibit the impact of the ever-changing environment on the coyote. Attendees were delighted to the scenic display of mixed media on a guided tour by the actual artist. Gabriel explained the plight of coyotes. : “CONCRETE HOWLS: A COYOTE’S STORY follows a coyote forced into the city where she faces trash, traffic and human noise. It’s about resilience and what happens when wild spaces and urban spaces collide.”
