Dr. Jessika S.  Timmons, a native  of Lauderhill, Florida had the distinct pleasure of being sworn in by the Broward County School Board on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, as Assistant Principal of Bennett Elementary School. This promotion is well-deserved and shows proof of her dedication to her students and community. An excellent Educator, her love of literacy is her driving force. Dr. Timmons’ most important job is being a wonderful mother to her son, Jaylen.

A graduate of FAMU,  Dr. Timmons also attended NSU earning her Masters in Reading and Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Curriculum Development.  She is a lifelong member of New Mount Olive Baptist Church, a member of Delta Sigma Theta, Inc., and an entrepreneur.  Multi-talented, here are a few more of  Dr. Timmons’ outstanding endeavors including, but not limited to:   Past Magnet Program Coordinator at Apollo Middle School, Literacy Coach at Castlehill Elementary School, Entrepreneur/Owner of Jai Simone Photography, Creator of Totally Talented, Recognized by The City of Lauderhill as an Outstanding Woman in the community, and many more. All of Dr. Timmons’ work has culminated in her  being accepted to continue her journey to provide a greater impact on  our students’ futures.
