With the lights shining bright for Monday Night football, the Dolphins pulled out a suprising but rather convincing win against the rival Patriots. At 6-7 with 3 games left in the season, the Dolphins have a chance to

finish 9-7. Would that be enough to sneak in the 6th seed? They are in third place in the AFC East with the Bills in second place with a 7-6 record. The Dolphins play the Bills on the road next week. The Bills currently have the 6th seed with the Ravens nipping at their heels also at 7-6.

The defense was able to put pressure on Tom Brady, sacking him twice and causing him to look like an average ordinary quarterback. “”Our focus every single game is to hit the quarterback as hard as we can and make them uncomfortable. I think we did a pretty good job of it; I think we could have done more.  We’ll go back and watch the film and see what our mistakes were, which I don’t feel like we made too many.” Ndamukong Suh says afterwards. Brady was 24 of 43 passing for 233 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. He couldn’t establish a rhythm and get comfortable in the pocket. Xavien Howard got the two interceptions off Tom Brady. He is performing well with four interceptions in two games. “I’m just feeding off the last game. watching film and stuff like that. They tried to come at me in the weakness that I showed on film so I was just executing the game plan,” Howard says about his performance.

Kenyan Drake, who wanted

to contribute t the team’s success, had a monster game with 193 total yards,  114 yards rushing. He has back to back 100 rushing yard games.  ”I try to go out there no matter the situation, no matter the stage and just try to do my best to help this team win games. I feel like I sound like a broken record but that’s just my mentality,” Drake says about his performance. “I enjoy going out there and performing on these stages obviously, but it was a great team win: offense, defense, special teams, all facets of the game. Shoutout to everybody that came out there and supported us. We definitely got the job done today.”

After losing five straight at one point this season, the Dolphins have to win five straight to finish strong and give themselves the best chance to make the wildcard. Along with running the table, a little luck has to be involved. The Dolphins have the Chiefs and the Bills twice remaining on the schedule. Even though they pulled out a win, there is still some tweaks that can be made. It was a close game, and could’ve gone the other way.
