VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. – Petty Officer 2nd Class Kevin Sasnett, a native of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, serves the U.S. Navy assigned to Strike Fighter Squadron 106, which operates the U.S. Navy’s F/A-18 Super Hornet, nicknamed the Rhino.

Sasnett graduated from Archbishop Edward A. McCarthy High School in 2010.

The skills and values needed to succeed in the Navy are similar to those found in Fort Lauderdale.

“Something I learned from my hometown is to listen to everyone,” said Sasnett. “I come from a place with a large amount of diversity and I got a chance to learn from all walks of life.”
