She-Said: Don, what to make of these anti-mask /anti-vaxx right-wingers? Do they really think it’s worth getting sick or dying just to “own the libs”? They seem determined to shoot themselves in the foot!
Among the White cohorts this looks like another display of entitlement. The spoiled brat attitude which says, “You’re not the boss of me”! Imagine being so scared of losing your privacy you are willing that adults react by acting like schoolyard kids. They completely don’t understand the thesis of Freedom. To survive we all have to sacrifice for the benefit of us all!
He-Said: Pal, this complacency is not restricted to a “White-Privalege” issue. It is the sacrifice we make to live in a “Free” society. You can’t ignore your moral responsibility to your fellow citizens. The first task is to fully educate yourself on this peril! Let me help assuage some concerns, with the aid of the August 6th article in the USA Today.
- The vaccines are experimental and were not tested thoroughly?
This is not true. All the vaccines authorized for emergency use in the U.S. underwent clinical tests of tens of thousands of our neighbor citizens. The research found the vaccines are SAFE!
- Natural immunity is stronger than the vaccine? That is true. However, the reality is that this pathogen COVID 19 can not compete with the vaccine. The vaccine provides more consistent and safer protection against getting sick!
- Do masks really do any good? A recent report from the esteemed Mayo clinic made this empirical statement, Yes. Face masks combined with other preventive measures, such as getting vaccinated, frequent hand-washing and physical distancing, can help slow the spread of the virus.
- Thousands of people have died from the vaccine? This is FALSE! Federal experts have methodically researched this topic. They did not find any evidence of widespread vaccine deaths. The data has found a miniscule level of injury. Out of 342,000,000 only 6,341 deaths have occured. That equates to 0.0019%.
That ratio makes me agree with you Nicole. In the words of the Prime Minister of India, “I cannot accept this country being destroyed by selfish people who only think about themselves!”
She-Said: I believe there’s a concept in the law which explains that your right to swing your fist ends where my face begins. These fools have every right to get sick, but not to jeopardize the health of others. Their flagrantly uncaring behavior is so incredibly selfish.
