Hate to hate…

A Message from the Publisher

15 Look after each other so that not one of you will fail to find God’s best blessings. Watch out that no bitterness takes root among you, for as it springs up it causes deep trouble, hurting many in their spiritual lives. Hebrews 12:15 (TLB)

What is this new thing or is it new? Is it because of this technology that we are able to see life in technical real time from its many facets? Yeah, I know that death has existed as long as life has. I also know that one of the first deaths recorded was that of brother on brother, yet that doesn’t make it right.

It appears that we have turned hate right on to hate. There seems to be no discrimination, no rhyme or reason, no fact-finding, no justification – only out right annihilation of human life.

Brothers and sisters, men and women, Black, white, Brown, Yellow, Red, Asian  – it doesn’t matter!  We are killing each other at alarming statistical rates.

It doesn’t matter if you’re Republican or Democrat, Independent or you don’t vote at all:  your deaths toll up as fast as mold on rotten food left in an old, unplugged refrigerator.

Mass shootings, police homicides – what’s the difference? Are those that in uniform much more excepted than those that kill based upon the color of skin accepted?

No matter how you look at it, murder is murder-it’s just that it’s more painful when innocence stands in the way of bullets that come from a gun being held in the hand of a colored man shooting and murdering a colored man woman or child and it’s your family.

It’s like this gunman has been vilified to nonhuman status. So what status do we give those who shoot into crowds of innocent people or take the lives of those in a church praying? What title do we label those who for unknown reasons shoot their weapons as if they were lightning bolts across the sky on a dark night during a thunderstorm, randomly killing? What status do we give those who kill in police uniforms, black robes or street clothes?

I think it’s time for us to begin to put killers whether they kill in classrooms, street corners or at home, no matter what they wear or the color of their skin that we put them in the same frame of light – murderers!

Hate on hate will only grow into more hate and will find itself killing, murdering, taking life, and it doesn’t matter what type of uniform or what color of skin. The only thing that matters is that hate on hate will not stop hate.

What will then? The answers to that appear to be a personal solution that each of us will have to put into personal actions; all we know is that it has to be minus hate.

“Dear God. In the name of Jesus. I pray that You direct our answers into actions that are free from fear and hate created to make peace. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

HATE WILL KILL US ALL!
