Kenya Migration & Great Rift Valley Lakes Safari

TOUR HIGHLIGHT: This tour highlights the Aberdares National Park, the Great Rift Valley highlighting Lakes Naivasha, Nakuru and Bogoria and the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. You will have 02 nights in Amboseli, 02 nights in Nakuru  to vist Lake Nakuru National Park and excursion to Lake Bogoria, 01 night in Lake Naivasha and 02 nights in Maasai Mara. During your safari, you will have game drives in all the parks visited.
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International and after clearance with the Customs Authorities you will be met you will be met by a Silverbird representative and you will start your safari. You will drive through the rich farmlands of pineapples plantation towards the mountain region. You will go through the industrial town of Thika and the intensely cultivated farms of the central Kenya. You will arrive Outspan hotel in time for your lunch and you will spend the rest of the day at the hotel.

After an early breakfast, you will depart Outspan hotel and head for a game drive Aberdares National Park and Lunch at Treetops hotel with an opportunity to watching animals as they come to drink water and salt lick at the water hole below. Aberdares National Park has a diverse topography that includes icy rivers, spectacular waterfalls and rain forests. The flora and fauna is quite unique and is not found elsewhere in the country, expect on Mount Kenya. Leopard, elephant, serval, water buck, reed buck, dik-dik, rhino and the rare bongo can all be found here. You are sure to see elephants, buffaloes and some other animals at the floodlit waterholes of The Treetops. Bird life is also plentiful, including the monkey eating crowned eagle.  after lunch, you will depart for Nakuru, driving across the Escarpment and descent into the Great Rift Valley driving through villages and farmlands to arrive Merica Hotel before sunset.

You will have a morning game drive in the park. Our driver will pick you up at 0700hrs and you will start your drive to Lake Nakuru National Park.

Lake Nakuru Park is famous for its large concentration of flamingos and also you may get a chance of spotting the rare white rhinos and many bird species it’s branded as the “Birds paradise”. For Bird lovers this an absolutely wonderful place to do bird watching.


After the game drive, you will then proceed to Lake Bogoria. You will proceed to the reserve that is home to the famous hot springs and geysers which are at the basin of the lake.

The hot springs have temperature of close to boiling point and highly mineralized and is believe to be sourced from shallow aquifers in contact with Laval intrusions. You will spend your day at the hot springs and your picnic lunch will be at the reserve. You will then proceed for a game drive in the reserve as you head back to Nakuru. You will the hotel in the evening and you will have some time to freshen up before dinner.

You will have early breakfast, then go for a morning game drive at Lake Nakuru – this park is famous for its bird’s life and also as a Rhino sanctuary. Afterwards, you will proceed with the drive to Lake Naivasha for Lunch at Lake Naivasha Country Club. The rest of the day will be spend in Lake Naivasha with a visit to Hells Gate Park,  or a boat ride visit to Crescent Island (at an extra cost )

After breakfast our driver will pick you up at 0730hrs and you will start your drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve. You will arrive Mara Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. After your lunch, you will have some time to relax before your evening game drive in the reserve. At 1530hrs, our driver will take you for an evening game drive.

The Maasai Mara National Reserve is Kenya’s finest wildlife reserve. Everything about this reserve is outstanding. The wildlife is abundant and the gentle rolling grasslands ensure that animals are never out of sight. Birds, too, are prolific. Including migrants, well over 450 species have been recorded, among them, 57 species of birds of prey. The climate is gentle, rarely too hot and well-spread rainfall year round. Rain, when it falls almost always chooses the late afternoon or night. Between July and October, when the great wildebeest migration is in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, the sensation is unparalleled. 

After your game viewing, our driver will drop you off at the lodge where you will have some time to freshen up before dinner.

You will have your breakfast at the lodge and at 0800hrs, our driver will pick you up and you will set out for your full day game drive in the reserve. Watch out for all the habitat animals in this expansive reserve with picnic lunch. You may opt to have a Maasai village visit to have some information on Maasai culture and their way of life (please note this cost is on extra cost) in the evening you will head back to the lodge for your dinner and overnight.

After breakfast our driver will pick you from the lodge at 0930hrs and you will start your drive to Nairobi with a stop over at view point to have a panoramic view of the Great Rift Valley arriving in Nairobi early afternoon. You will proceed to Carnivore restaurant to have lunch and after lunch; you will have some time to do last minute shopping. Thereafter, our driver will drop you off at the airport in time to connect with outbound flight.
