    (Source Florida News):

A Lauderhill native will be competing in the Paris Olympics.

20-year-old Aaliyah Butler will be competing in the women’s 400-meter race after qualifying in June.

Butler’s dad who was with her Monday as she offered her appreciation at the Lauderhill Commission meeting. Butler got her start with the Lauderhill Cheetah Track Organization.

Her team is now asking the community for help funding her family’s way to the Olympic Games. If you want to donate, she had a GoFundMe https://www.gofundme.com/f/8xs5u-help-aaliyahs-family-attend-paris-olympics
