FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — More than 600 community leaders celebrated the seven honorees recognized during this year’s Leadership Broward Fun Lunch held recently at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

The outstanding community leaders honored during the Fun Lunch for their contributions to Leadership Broward and the community were Kareen Boutros with The Broward Workshop; Gail Bulfin with the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance; Gregg Goldstein with EM Consulting Group; Paul Minoff with CACTIC Commercial; Mary Lou Ruderman with Ruderman & Company CPA; Dr. Germaine Smith-Baugh with the Urban League of Broward County; and Jennifer Whittington with Franklin Templeton Investments.

“We thank everyone who came out to support this incredible group of leaders,” said Fun Lunch Chair Kelly Eppy, Covelli Enterprises – Panera Bread. “We also appreciate the generosity of our sponsors and our silent auction donors. I’d also like to acknowledge my committee that worked tirelessly to make the Fun Lunch such a tremendous success.”

Vice Chairs of the Fun Lunch committee were Chase Bowman, Marsh McLennan; Leonard Pounds, NSU Health; Marianna Seiler, Tripp Scott; Daphne Shephard, Factset Research Systems; and Michael Worley, MDW Communications.

The Fun Lunch benefits Leadership Broward’s transformational programs that develop and inspire individuals to serve the community including the signature Leadership Broward program, which offers a behind-the-scenes look at issues affecting Broward County in several areas; Youth Leadership Broward for high school juniors that mirrors the adult program; FLY (Follow the Leader in You) for middle school students in Title 1 Broward County Public Schools; and Women Leading Broward which provides opportunities for high-potential women to develop their skills and advance their careers through mentoring, education, networking, and inspiring them to serve as leaders.
