Aggies pitcher Xavier Meachem is having some season. Meachem was named to USA Baseball’s 2023 Collegiate National Team roster.

“It’s a dream come true,” he said. “It’s very exciting to play for your country. It’s very exciting to represent African American baseball players and HBCU players. It’s an all-around great opportunity.”

Meachum joins fellow HBCU players Nicholas Wilson (Southern) and Omar Melendez (Alabama State) on the 31-man roster. The team will represent Team USA in a pair of five-game series with Japan and Chinese Taipei from June 30 to July 12.
