The home field DISadvantage continued during the MLB World Series between the upstart Arizona Diamondbacks and favorite Texas Rangers. After splitting the first 2 games in Arlington, the D-Backs appeared prime to win their second World Series. So what happened? The Rangers, without superstars Adolfo Garcia and Max Scherzer defeated – no – demolished the D-Backs 3 consecutive games in Arizona to win the franchise’s very first World Series.  In 2023 the much desired  home field advantage proved otherwise.

Until the Miami Dolphins overcome the elephant in the room ( defeating Super Bowl contenders like the Chiefs/Eagles),  they will be simply viewed as a middle of the road team with some exciting playmakers on the both sides of the ball.

Have you noticed the unmerited criticism thrust upon Deion Sanders since his Buffs have suffered consecutive losses against some really good established programs,  teams like  USC, UCLA and Oregon State. The criticism seems tinged with sarcasm, as if seeing his reaction after difficult losses is welcomed and deserved as he returns to earth. I suppose his personality lends itself to that kind of scrutiny. With a 4-5 record thus far, if CU doesn’t win another game, they’ve far exceeded expectations, something all Buffs/Deion fans can be proud of. Despite the loss, Coach Prime, alongside UCHealth, hosted the largest American football lesson, setting a world record with over 280 participants. So his impact reaches far beyond football.
